There are no known restrictions on the Lomax Collection. Privacy and publicity rights may apply.

Access: Permitted; subject to P&P policy on serving originals. As a preservation measure, when possible, the Library serves digital "surrogates" in lieu of original images.

Reproduction (photocopying, hand-held camera copying, photoduplication and other forms of copying allowed by "fair use"): Permitted; subject to P&P policy on copying.

Publication and other forms of distribution: There are no known restrictions on the Lomax Collection. Most images were taken by the donors, who gave the collection to the Library without restriction. Twelve images are accompanied by a note stating "Made by CBS photographers." No copyright registration was found in a search made in 1999 and CBS did not respond to a written request for rights information. Privacy and publicity rights may apply.
