Categories for the Description of Works of Art, from the Getty Trust

The categories, developed under the auspices of the Art Information Task Force, are, "guidelines for formulating the content of art databases. They articulate an intellectual structure for descriptions of objects and images: in this sense they constitute a schematic representation of the requirements and assumptions implicit in the practice of the discipline of art history."

Free On-line Dictionary of Computing, a Princeton-based mirror of a resource maintained at Imperial College in London (U.K.): This extensive, searchable dictionary is full of cross-references (hypertext links) with relevant pointers to external resources. It is aimed primarily at a fairly technical audience, but includes jargon as well as formal terms.
