Mission      Top

The FLICC Policy Working Group is established as a standing working group to help the Federal Library and Information Center Committee members to understand and stay current on information policy issues that affect their programs. This working group will serve as a resource to FLICC members, providing the members with information upon which to base decisions and develop recommendations that will help their own agencies exert a positive influence over the development of federal information policies. The Policy Working Group aims to be a primary resource that is respected and consistently consulted by information policy developers.

Specifically, the group will assist FLICC identifying critical issues confronting the federal library and information center community, in preparing position papers on pertinent issues, and in developing policy statements as necessary that reflect the consensus of the membership.
